This work refers to the shipwreck known as the Cau Mau shipwreck, 1735. Salvaged in 1998 off the coast of Vietnam. A Chinese junk sank at the farthest point in the South China Sea as a result of a fire on board the vessel. The cargo consisted of chinaware, porcelains, blue and white ware and various stoneware ceramics the best of which originated from Jingdezhen in Jiangxi province, heading along the trade routes to Bavaria ( Dutch Indonesia).
