It is not “pottery making” that is essentially interesting to me but rather clay as the medium of choice to explore sculptural form, to tap the archetypal, and create an historical connection to the past – a human link in a very long chain of humanity.

Octopus 2020 - 2021

The Octopus Vase from Palaikastro, Crete, c1500 BC displayed in The Museum at Heraklion, Crete ( height 11 inches) became the catalyst for the research at the National Research Library in Singapore, between December 2019 and March 2020.

Cau Mau Shipwreck– 2010

This work refers to the shipwreck known as the Cau Mau shipwreck, 1735. Salvaged in 1998 off the coast of Vietnam. A Chinese junk sank at the farthest point in the South China Sea as a result of a fire on board the vessel.
